Experts and specialists have highlighted the urgent need for a marriage fund in Oman to ease the financial and social burdens faced by young couples. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jahouri emphasized establishing clear systems for contributions and donations to support youth and reduce spinsterhood. Ibrahim Al-Suwafi noted that delayed marriage affects family formation and social cohesion, while Dr. Hamoud Al-Noufli pointed to economic pressures, excessive dowries, and costly celebrations as key reasons for declining marriage rates. Dr. Kafala Al-Amriya suggested providing dedicated housing for newlyweds with flexible three-year contracts, and Samira Al-Lawati stressed the role of family support in facilitating marriage.
